UNSILENT NIGHT

Last night I played a part in breaking London's Unsilent cherry, courtesy of Dave Sheppard and a collection of boom-boxes that made us look like the weirdest Hari Krishnas Peckham has ever seen.

Apparently the piece is performed in New York every year by people numbering thousands. We numbered about two dozen, a third of which were around eight years old, but luckily children have uninhibited command of their larynx, so what we lacked in numbers we made up in noise.

The piece is by a guy named Phil Kline and is pretty moving when performed in a dark South London street. You can download it here...
